In popular music (pop/rock/folk/blues and more), there are common chord progressions. Knowing these chord progressions will make it easier to: * Accompany yourself as you sing a song * Play a song by ear * Write a song * Transpose a song into a different key * Tell accompanists the chord progression of a song (I do this all the time at jam sessions) Please bring your instrument so you can play along.
